Prayer for the Day:



Through every minute of this day,

through every day of all this week,

through every week of all this year,

through all the years of all this life,

      be with me, Lord!

So shall the days and weeks

   and years be threaded

      on a golden cord.

And all draw on with sweet accord

   unto your fullness, Lord,

that so, when time is past,

   by grace I may at last,

      be with you, Lord.

     I am a progressive United Methodist with a strong theology of Biblical authority. I have been asked by a friend to share the content below regarding our misuse of the Bible and exclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community. I should have shared what follows more boldly prior to now. I do not have a Ph.D. in Biblical studies, but I do have an M.Div., which I earned with a select emphasis in Bible. I have studied the Biblical languages.
